I was wandering through Kmart in Ammon last night and noticed they had a bunch of Cover Girl make-up on clearance for about $1.50. So match with $1 off any Cover Girl makeup coupon from 1/29 P &G coupon insert. Or you can wait until Wednesday and double it and get them for free. The only problem with the doubles is you have to spend $25 in Health and Beauty or Household and you can only use 5 coupons.

Free Family Day at Art Museum

This Saturday, January 28, from 11-3pm is Free Family Day at the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho. The museum is located across the street from the Idaho Falls Library on S Capital. You need to order your Zaycon chicken by October 26. It will be delivered Nov 6 to Kingston Plaza parking lot on Broadway from 8am-9pm (I think it's the old Ernst Building parking lot-there is an Arby's in the parking lot). It's only $1.48/lb, however it only comes in a 40 lb box ($59.20+tax)). Here are instructions:

How to Order the Chicken:

Head to Zaycon Foods & register your email.

You will then be able to see the various locations; choose a location near you. It will show the specific dates; pickup times for the Fall Chicken Event.
Order your cases of chicken (there is no limit to how much you can buy). If you’re unable to pickup the chicken and want someone else to pick it up, you can specify that in the order instructions.
You can pay by check or credit card.
When you’re finished with your order, print off your receipt or order confirmation and bring it with you when you go pick up your chicken.

*Zaycon Foods will also send you an email 2 days prior to pickup to remind you about picking up your order of chicken.

I am really excited about this. I just ordered mine and can't wait to fill my freezer. They should be back in 6 months so think about how much you will use in that amount of time. If you don't think you can use the entire box maybe see about splitting it with a neighbor!!

Zaycon Foods, is a Spokane Valley-based company that brings fresh meats and other products direct to consumers at wholesale prices. Zaycon Foods is delivering chicken breasts to Oregon, Washington and Idaho at the end of October and the beginning of November. The best part is that the chicken is $1.48/pound!
This chicken contains no added hormones, additives or artifical ingredients and is fresh (never been frozen). To keep prices low, they sell the chicken in 40 pound boxes, which contains four bags each filled with 10 lbs of chicken. So if you didn't already register with them go and register at Zaycon Foods.

They (the Ammon store) are pretty stocked on most things except the Darigold Chocolate Milk. Here's what I did and I'll break some of it down or at least tell you what coupons I used. The cashier let me do 3 sets of doubles in 1 transaction (which made it so much faster!!)

Chicken Breasts with in ad store coupon $5.97/ea = $1.89/lb-not super great but I needed more
Mac N Cheese $2.49 (50 cents a box) with in ad store coupon plus the boxes had coupons for FREE Capri Sun or Easy Mac. I chose Easy Mac (they have about 20 5packs left)
Juicy Juice, used $1/2 from here, printed twice, so with doublers $1 for 8 pack
Nestle Toll House Morsels $1.99, used $1/2 from here (print twice), so they were $0.99/ea
Ronzoni Pasta $1.25/ea, used $1/2 from here (print twice), so they were $0.25/ea with doubles
Rhodes Warm N Serve $2.50, printed 2 for $1/1 from here from my computer and 1 from my in laws and had one from LDS Living magazine so they were $0.50/ea
Kerr canning lids $1.91, used $1/1 from here, so these were FREEEEEEEEEE!!
Blue Diamond Almonds $2.50/ea, used $1/2 from 8/22 SS so they were $1.50/ea
Febreeze & Air Mist with newspaper inserts & Doubles $0.50/ea

My grand total: $39.72 plus I earned $0.05 more on gas and filled up for $0.15/gallon too!!

Now for some sad news-the cashier thinks in 2 weeks or soon they will be doing roundups like Smith's instead of doubles. It's good and bad-it's good because you can used your low value coupons but bad because we won't get nearly as good of deals on higher priced items. We'll keep you posted when we know more!!

I can't imagine paying $129 for ear phones (my mp3 player didn't even cost that much) but I would consider $40 plus I get free shipping. Freezing Foods

So this past week we pulled most everything out of the garden (Potatoes, onions, & carrots). We already harvested the green beans and peas. Well we don't like the taste of canned green beans or carrots so I decided to freeze them this year. I however do not have a vacuum sealing machine so I read somewhere this great method for getting the air out of the bag to prevent freezer burn.

Use a straw-stick it in your bag and seal it shut all the way to the straw. Then suck the air out of bag. You will have to suck it out as you seal the bag or air will come back in. But it works really well.
